ALAN S. PORWICH was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1979 and has been a member of the firm since May 1980. During that time, he has been engaged in the general practice of law. While a majority of his practice now is devoted to real estate transactions and workers’ compensation cases, he regularly deals with family law matters, estates, consumer bankruptcy, personal injury claims and other civil cases.

He has appeared in all State courts and successfully argued cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court and Appellate Division. He also has been involved in several novel cases, one of which had the firm acting as lead counsel with Harvard law Professor Alan Dershowitz serving as co-counsel.

Mr. Porwich has served as a panelist in the Hudson County matrimonial Early Settlement Panel Program since 1990. He also was involved in the Hudson County Bar Association’s High School Mock Trial program for a number of years, first serving as an advisor to a local high school and then as County Coordinator.
